Positives Good build quality Price Loud bass for small size Smart home compatibility Effective microphone system Negatives Round build may not be for everyone Alexa app may be overwhelming initially No YouTube Music compatibility by default

Bottom Line The Amazon Echo (4th Gen) is an excellent smart speaker for listeners who don't want to spend too much. If your smart home devices are all compatible with one another, you'll be very happy with this simplified speaker. Sound quality has improved over previous generations, and the design change, while odd, is refreshing.
