June has arrived and savings are in the air. This week is a Pixel special, with both Sprint and Verizon offering hundreds of dollars off the Pixel 3 or Pixel 3a range when you commit to a plan.
We start with Sprint, and it’s ever-popular Flex Lease.
$300 off the Google Pixel 3 or 3 XL
That’s right — with a new line of service on a Sprint Flex Lease, you can save $300 on the Google Pixel 3 or 3 XL.
Remember, on a Flex Lease you don’t pay the full phone price anyway, unless you want to buy it at the end, of course. This $300 savings is on top of that difference, and it halves the cost of the flex lease.
The bottom line is that you’ll pay just $16.63 per month to lease a Pixel 3 for 18 months.
Nice! Any elephant traps?
Only the usual Flex Lease terms and conditions. Most notably, you need a new line of service, and the savings apply after bill credits.
In summary:
- Pixel 3: $16.63 per month after $16.67 per month credit
- Pixel 3 XL 64GB: $22.04 per month after $16.67 per month credit
- Credits applied within two bills
- Approved credit needed on 18-month lease and a new line of service
You can get an Unlimited plan from as low as $60 per month. That means your total phone and plan combo with a Pixel 3 would come to $76.63 per month.
Sprint also has cut-price Flex Leases on the Pixel 3a and 3 XL. To check out all the deals hit the button below.
What’s Verizon saying?
Actually, Verizon has similar savings on these models. The main difference is that you’re buying not leasing, and the Verizon deals tend to run for 24 months.
It’s a longer commitment, but by the end, the phone is yours.
For example, there’s $100 off the Google Pixel 3a or 3a XL with monthly payments. This may not sound like big savings, but the Pixel 3a retails for just $400, so it’s not too shabby a deal.
You only get the full $100 savings if you open a new line of service, but there’s still $50 off if you upgrade.
How do the Verizon plans compare?
Unlimited plans from Verizon start at $70 per month. With the mere $12.50 you’ll pay for the Pixel 3a, you’re looking at $82.50 per month in total, with ownership of the phone at the end.
The savings appear as bill credit, applied to your account over 24 months within a bill cycle or two.
The same deal can also save you $300 on purchase of the Pixel 3 or 3 XL, so choosing between Sprint and Verizon is very much down to whether you want to lease or buy.
